With the launch of the Wii U’s new Super Smash Bros, GameStop wanted to make a splash by creating a stunt that would resonate with gamers and create a buzz. With GameStop’s already existing snarky attitude and the knowledge of the huge esports/Super Smash Bros fanbase, our team saw the opportunity to play a little joke on the GameStop community.

As the art director for this project, I worked with a copywriter to concept ideas. After this idea was selected we quickly worked was casting agencies to recruit talent. We were on set during production and watched as the organic responses flowed.
